Presentation Report

My name is Abdulrahman Al Zaabi (H00254759). On the 6th of June, Wednesday, I made a presentation about Terrorist Financing in classroom no. F13 in Abu Dhabi Men College at 14:15 pm. It was an excellent presentation and I was really prepared for it. I started by introducing myself and addressed some important points about the dangers of Terrorism and why it is expanding. I especially choose some related animations to gave the presentation a little glance of amusement.

I tried to look confident and keep an eye contact with the audience all the time. I stood at the side of the screen to allow a clear view of the presentation for the audience. While presenting I was using some notes to help me. I was speaking very clear and loud and tried to be organized. I choose this topic because these kind of presentations are what catches people attention to raise awareness about the danger of terrorism and advice others how to combat it. The slid background was very good and colorful with good use of text size, contrast and information. I was pleased to see that the audiences were interested in the presentation visuals and animation. I had some excellent questions from the audience, which I answered them clearly because of my knowledge of the topic.

In general, it was a good presentation and I enjoy presented it. My secret was having the knowledge of the topic and be confident of my presentation skills along with the use of the correct tools and sources.

Presentation Report Assignment

In this report I will write about Saleem Al Ameri’s presentation on Qatar. Saleem’s (H00134725) presentation was held on Thursday 25/04/2013 at 04:15 p.m. in room F16 of Abu Dhabi Men’s College. He was well prepared for the presentation and seemed very confident.

Now I will tell you about his presentation style. He opened his presentation by greeting the audience and he introduced himself.  First of all, Saleem started with a brief introduction about his vacation in Qatar and highlighted the items in his presentation to attract the audience and that was a great idea to attract the students. The eye contact for Saleem was excellent and he was focusing his gaze on the audience. He stood on the right side of the screen to give the audience a clear vision of the screen. He didn’t use any cards to help him in the presentation and he was reading from the screen because he practiced very well. The sound was very clear and the voice was very good and clear. The background was colorful and bright with a clear text size and contrast. The presentation seems to be well organized and the visuals were very nice and clear. Saleem looked relaxed and he smiled a lot.
Saleem’s presentation was very good and he mentioned to us about the important things in Qatar. During the questions and answers portion of the presentation, he answered very well the audience’s questions. In conclusion, I liked Saleem’s presentation and I’m happy to write a report about Saleem’s presentation.

Personal reflection on meeting

I chaired a meeting conducted by three students of CLV in room F16 on Monday 18th March 2013 at 3:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the parking issues at the Abu Dhabi Men’s College. I Abdulrahman Al Zaabi (H00254759) as chairman started the meeting by welcoming everyone and introducing them to each other. Faisal Al Hosani (S960003762) as the participant was discussing the items on the meeting agenda with me. Salem Ali (H00213881) was the secretary and his job was to take the minutes and the outcome of the meeting. My role as a chairman was to control the meeting and go through the items of the agenda in a way to achieve the goals of the meeting. I was clear to address the issue and give the participants the chance to contribute in the meeting. Faisal Al Hosani was very efficient to discuss the issue and suggested very viable solutions. Even Salem Ali had the chance to share his views and opinions about the items on the agenda. In my opinion, the meeting achieved its goals and all the attendees demonstrated a high level of understanding of the topic.

By going through the items of the agenda we will establish not just possible solutions but solutions which we feel will be viable.  We will discuss how we are going to solve the issue theoretically and practically by introducing ideas such as using the idea of first come first serve. By the conclusion of this meeting, we should have in place sufficient agreed proposals to make recommendations.

The problem:
v Mr. Abdulrahman received many complains regarding the car parking listed as follows:

·      Both morning and afternoon students complained of lack space.
·      Many students raised the issue of incorrect parking.
·      One of the afternoon students complained with regard to blocking the entrance by some careless drivers.
v Solutions:

·      Divided into 2 solutions:
A.     Short term and fast action.
§  Fast, easy and NO cost.
       -  Clarified by first come first served. The earliest you come the better parking spot you get.
The later you come the harder it is to find a parking space.

2.     Building a malty floors parking building by two options:
       -  Ministry of High Education as sponsor by increasing the budget.
       -  Students as shareholders of the project with annual bonus.
v Recommendations:

1-    A letter with the proposal to the Ministry of Higher Education to sponsor the parking building or  to   approve the shareholding idea.
2-    In case of rejection from the Ministry of Higher Education a new meeting will be held on 2-4-2013 to discuss the status.
